Deputy Minister of National Defense MP, Achaia, PASOK He was born in Aigion, Egialia. He is married to Evangelia Periklopoulou and they have two sons. Civil engineer. Parliamentary activity He was elected MP (PASOK) in Achaia in the general election of 1996, 2000, 2004, 2007 and 2009. He was Chairman of the Special Permanent Committee on Technology & Research. He participated in the Standing Committee on Economic Affairs. He was PASOK rapporteur for the parliamentary work sector of Infrastrure. He was member of various parliamentary committees and member of presiding committee of PASOK Parliamentary Group. From June 2011, he is Deputy Minister of National Defense. Political – Social Activity He has been a member of PASOK since its creation in 1974; served as PASOK Secretary in the district of Aigialia. Elected President of the Community of Melissia, Achaia. Elected onto Aigion City Council, Achaia, in 1990; served as Deputy Major until 1993. Elected Prefectural Councillor for Achaia in 1994.; appointed President of the Public Works Committee.
